Evaluating and Treating Natural Asymmetry in Horses

Elizabeth Micheel is a PATH Intl. Certified Registered Instructor and holds active memberships in the International Society of Rider Biomechanics and the Straightness Training Mastery Program. She has a Master of Science degree in biology and is working on a master�s degree in equestrian education.

Learn about the natural imbalance of horses on several planes with particular emphasis on recognizing left-right imbalances in the horse. Attendees will learn to use an observational checklist and digital manipulation of photographs to quantifiably evaluate and track the natural asymmetry of the horse and will also learn several techniques low-impact in-hand exercises done at the walk to help re-balance the horse.
