Creating an Equine Strategic Plan
Pegasus TRA�s equine strategic plan has successfully transitioned an overpopulated geriatric herd into a multi-generational and cross-purpose equine staff. The plans endorsed by the Pegasus board of directors support daily routines to ensure a healthy, happy herd as well as long-term plans with contingencies for medical emergencies and loss of an equine staff member.
Taylor Adams graduated from Delaware Valley University where she completed her Bachelor of Science degree in equine instruction and training and completed her master�s degree in education. She has also trained in the British Horse Society certifications through Stage 3. Taylor also works at DelVal where she is the equine administrative assistant and serves as adjunct faculty. She is the equine trainer at Pegasus Therapeutic Riding Academy Inc. and is a PATH Intl. Registered Therapeutic Riding Instructor. Teresa Doherty is the program director and equine director at Pegasus Therapeutic Riding Academy Inc., a PATH Intl. PAC in Philadelphia, PA. She graduated and obtained dual degrees in equine science and psychology at Rocky Mountain College. She is a PATH Intl. Registered Therapeutic Riding Instructor and ESMHL.
